Rayaan Ajouz has developed a plugin that allows for exchange between Karamba3D and IDEA Statica for detailed joint analysis. The development was part of the research project SMARTconnection in collaboration with Bouwen met Staal.

Shogakukan Building
The Shogakukan Building serves as the headquarters for a Japanese publishing company based in Tokyo. Karamba3D was utilised during the design phase to optimise the structural performance of the shear external wall.
CIAB Pavilion
The pavilion was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects in collaboration with Bollinger + Grohmann for the China International Architectural Biennial. It reinterprets Felix Candela’s works with complementary hypar shells, which are both highly structural and sculptural.
Active Energy Building
Designed by falkeis architects with the structural design from Bollinger + Grohmann, the Active Energy Building in Vaduz introduces a novel system of efficient and economic, yet architecturally intriguing bearing structures for housing units.
White Noise
The primary design intent for the art pavilion was to create a recognizable presence for contemporary productions in Salzburg, a city that is predominantly known for classical music. The main user of the pavilion is the Salzburg Biennale, a festival for contemporary music.
Karamba3D is a parametric structural engineering tool which provides accurate analysis of spatial trusses, frames and shells.
Karamba3D is fully embedded in the parametric design environment of Grasshopper, a plug-in for the 3d modeling tool Rhinoceros. This makes it easy to combine parameterized geometric models, finite element calculations and optimization algorithms like Galapagos.

Karamba3D can be installed for Rhino6 and Rhino5.
